As part of the "From Where I Sit" series, a hazy Summer sunset, one where the sun turns into a hot pink lozenge. This is just as the sun starts to lower itself to where it changes color, into the haze. A million different paintings, I swear, could be done from my front porch. Probably from everyone's front steps.

Kelley, I love the grey colors, so foggy and mysterious! Just beautiful!
Thanks, Nancy - I've been AWOL for Daily Paintings this week - I'll be back.
Oooo, Kelley, I LOVE this one! So atmospheric ... somehow it has a very nostalgic feeling for me. The general haziness and muted tones really set the stage for that glorious sun color.
What is the size?
I love all these "From where I sit" paintings ... you're right, I think. We all have a million pictures just waiting to be painted from our point of view, literally!
Hey, Karen, it's 40x30 - really big for me! And I have submitted the series to a good art association for membership as a Gallery Artist - been rejected by them once before, and will try one more if rejected again... but there's always hope!
This is a lovely tonalist piece, Kelly. I really like the mood.
This sort of took my breath away. There is some undefined tension between the one sun and the many similar houses...
