Westport Dunes, 18x18, acrylic

It was a sunny, warm day, and I couldn't resist heading for the beach! Love the way the dunes fall away from each other. I wanted to make this a cheerful painting, more expressionistic than realistic.

Wow. Love the strength of that painting. You and I are channeling big square paintings at the same time.
Why doesn't that surprise me?
:D

Nothing surprises me anymore, Mar! Let's take them outside when you get home? First week, we'll do Marshfield, next Rhode Island!

hey I went to horseneck on wed. to paint!!! got all the way down there and it was sunny the whole way until the parking lot. Totally Fogged over! turned my car around and saw a bunch of wild turkeys run full speed across the parking lot and hop into the dunes!---ended up not painting but that was cool. love to go on a 'paint out' sometime before my boys are done with school.

Debbie - the fog lifted around 11 a.m.! Totally clear after that - I wish you'd stayed! This is an 18x18... we will definitely have to paint - let's see what next week's weather is!

This is not funny, ....
To take the beautiful weather with you and leave us here with the rain!! Although it's great fun to see what you can do with it.

Large strong piece Kelly!!
