Self Portraits






I'll give you a laugh today.  I've been doing self portraits for the past week - they're really difficult.  Honestly, I'm much better looking than this ;)
The last one is a work in progress, not done, but I thought I'd include it so you could see how I destroy these paintings slowly...

these are great! None look exactly like you (for example, the one where you painted huge black circles under your eyes...) but most of them capture part of your spirit, which is definitely the hardest part of portraiture from what I've seen. I like the top one the best.

I also like the bottom one. That sun-drenched red toy sailboat painting in the background really pops too!

Love these, Kelley! they each have such a different mood. I especially like the last one with the attention-grabbing red scarf, and just a hint of a smile. I’ve come back to it several times yesterday and this morning. Even unfinished, it's beautiful!
