Green Boat, Bristol, 9x12 Oil on Panel

This is in the Plein Air show at Gallery 297 in Bristol, RI for the month of July.

The day before yesterday was WARM here (in the 40's!) so I went over to Bristol, RI to paint outside. This is a lucious green boat near the ferry to Prudence Island. I love how the slanting sun made the green pop.

I love this. I have some photos from that very area from last summer. I too, love how the red brick sets off the green. I want to make a date to paint in RI at least every other week, if we can manage it.
Your work kicks ass!

I'm in my 50's and I've been going to Prudence since I was born and I've grown to love the time spent around the dock waiting for the ferry. Your painting echoes so many years of memories. Just beautiful. Boats, water, the old factory brick, the smells and sounds - the anticpation of the ride away from it all. I envy you your ability to capture it all with a brush....

Wow. Thanks Mar, Jonathan. There'll be more here as time goes on because I'm in a show in Bristol - all plein air paintings, in July, at the Green River Gallery.
