Bird Gossip, Oil, 10x20

This painting has a deliberate, unfinished feel to it. I wanted it to reflect the quickness of the sparrows' movements. They don't hold still, yet they seem to have a very 'social' quality to them.

Green Boat, Bristol, 9x12 Oil on Panel

This is in the Plein Air show at Gallery 297 in Bristol, RI for the month of July.

The day before yesterday was WARM here (in the 40's!) so I went over to Bristol, RI to paint outside. This is a lucious green boat near the ferry to Prudence Island. I love how the slanting sun made the green pop.

Wind Energy, Westport 9x12 oil

This painting took forever to come together. I like to walk in this area with Tim and I get a kick out of the little windmill. The fields are lush and the air is so heavy with moisture.

In The Cafe 18x36 oil

This painting was done for the 'Fakes & Forgeries' Show at Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI. The original was done by Charles Alexander White and was in the 'Americans in Paris' Show which I saw at the MFA. It was so fun doing this and I felt I learned a lot, too. I loved painting her lace scarf and the feathers on her hat!
