This is one of the beautiful sunsets that I see from my front porch. I am always inspired by them, and wanted to do some skies just to see how they look together.

What's Up In My Studio? by Kelley Carey MacDonald
This is a secondary blog to my Daily Painting Blog, where I'll put up paintings that I'm working on, or paintings that are hanging in various shows, or just interesting things that I've seen or done. I welcome comments anytime, on the page or via email (kcareymac@hotmail.com).
I love to paint and am grateful every day that I get to explore this wonderful life in this way. My family is tremendously supportive, and I have a fantastic circle of friends who paint, and other wonderful friends who support me and allow me to visit even though I probably have streaks of magenta in my hair or cadmium yellow smeared across my face.
This is my personal journey, and this, I think, is where I find peace for my soul. Thanks for looking in... Kelley

Thanks guys, that land mass is the original Rhode Island, now known as Aquidneck Island, where Newport is.
