Lozenge

As part of the "From Where I Sit" series, a hazy Summer sunset, one where the sun turns into a hot pink lozenge. This is just as the sun starts to lower itself to where it changes color, into the haze. A million different paintings, I swear, could be done from my front porch. Probably from everyone's front steps.

  1. Kelley, I love the grey colors, so foggy and mysterious! Just beautiful!

  3. Oooo, Kelley, I LOVE this one! So atmospheric ... somehow it has a very nostalgic feeling for me. The general haziness and muted tones really set the stage for that glorious sun color.

    What is the size?

I love all these "From where I sit" paintings ... you're right, I think. We all have a million pictures just waiting to be painted from our point of view, literally!

  4. Hey, Karen, it's 40x30 - really big for me! And I have submitted the series to a good art association for membership as a Gallery Artist - been rejected by them once before, and will try one more if rejected again... but there's always hope!

  6. This sort of took my breath away. There is some undefined tension between the one sun and the many similar houses...
